Intervention Hospital of Shandong Red Cross Society is a large-scale hospital integrating the functions of medical treatment, health care and scientific research with the gross value of all kinds of equipment exceeding 1million dollars.
We have established significant cooperation relationship with the Peking University First Hospital, National Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Harvard Medical School and Royal Danish School of Medicine in the academy and professions.
In 2003, the hosptial established the first large stem cell laboratory and R&D base, and introduced the advanced neural stem cell transplantation technique of Republic of Korea, the VSEL technique of Haward University and the Mesenchymal Stem Cell Technique of China Military Academy to the neural stem cell center. The experts in our hosptial worked out a series of more scientific diagnosis and treatment system, which has been considered as efficient ways for clinical treatment.
In the central laboratory, we have the capacity to do neural stem cell separation, purificition, differentiation and amplification in vitro. Moreover, we have devoted ourselves to establishing and improving the standards, specification and system in the process for the clinical application.
To date, we have treated more than 1000 patients during the recent 6 years. Several kinds of nervous system diseases and non-nervous system diseases could be treated in our hospital including cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, spinal cord injury, post-traumatic brain syndrome, cerebral atrophy, ataxia, motor neuron disease, cerebral palsy, Alzheimer¡¯s disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, facial palsy and nerve deafness.
